Audience Member Another film at the Edinburgh Film Festival. Not sure how to rate this because it was difficult to watch the main character go through his daily life with his constant disappointments. I felt such anguish that I left the cinema in tears feeling such sorrow for him. I felt we shouldn't be watching him go through this. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/08/23 Full Review Audience Member One of the most depressing films i've ever seen. Brilliantly shot in documentary style. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member Bleak portrayal of the lower class in USA. How they are exploited and exploit. At times, morally nauseating. I found myself torn between an unconscious sympathy for Thomas' plight and a deep hatred of his part in cheating others. A final obtuse redemptive message is neatly added. I saw this described as a black comedy - it is bleak not black and definitely not comedic. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Read all reviews
