It is about Captain John Hayes who goes to Colorado to take over the stagecoach line. Randolph Scott and Virginia Mayo give amazing performances. The screenplay is well written. Budd Boetticher did a great job directing this movie. I enjoyed watching this motion picture because of the action and adventure. Westbound is a must see. See more 06/08/2015 Tight little Budd Boetticher directed Randolph Scott western. Scott plays an ex-union man trying to put together a stagecoach line to deliver gold from the California gold rush. There's plenty of action and and Scott is commanding in the lead, though with is usual laid back charm. Not one of the better Boetticher/Scott pairings, but it's good none-the-less. See more 09/19/2010 This Randolph Scott western uses very familiar themes and plot elements to films the lead has appeared in previously, they just look very old and tired for this one, which is very run-of-the-mill stuff.
