s r Not a bad one, but not quite great. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review ashley h Westbound is an excellent film. It is about Captain John Hayes who goes to Colorado to take over the stagecoach line. Randolph Scott and Virginia Mayo give amazing performances. The screenplay is well written. Budd Boetticher did a great job directing this movie. I enjoyed watching this motion picture because of the action and adventure. Westbound is a must see. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Tight little Budd Boetticher directed Randolph Scott western. Scott plays an ex-union man trying to put together a stagecoach line to deliver gold from the California gold rush. There's plenty of action and and Scott is commanding in the lead, though with is usual laid back charm. Not one of the better Boetticher/Scott pairings, but it's good none-the-less.
