Two lovers on a boat; she sees an attack and he calls her frigid! He's a teacher and she a student: we're doubly morally corrupted from the off. The victim was raped with a knife - but there's no sense of desire - just of violence and rage. The English setting is interesting, the sexuality perverse, the violence grotesque. The morality dubious. Through it all, Fuchsberger's imperturbable copper. A particularly nasty but very effective giallo

Very dark italian giallo film with some brutal killings and excess violence against young women, which many can't get past; but if you stick it out, it is a well-written mystery plot with a twisting narrative of red herrings visually appealing albeit schlocky and pretty well acted for films of the time and genre.
