Audience Member One of the best films relating to art history ever made. The French title "Ce Que Mes Yeux Ont Vu: Le Mystere Watteau.... Rotten tomatoes left out "The Watteau Mystery". It's a brilliant film and I wish it were available to stream in the U.S. as I would like to see it again. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member Is it true that Antoine Watteau and Opnor is the same person? Painting inside the painting... Following the actress chasing after a ghost in the wave of history, Paris, painting, eyes. Feeling the similar agony, lost from the rejection of its adviser. From no where, I started to feel I am the Gilles in the painting, just like Vincent was in the movie. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member http://community.livejournal.com/kinoclub/1405757.html Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member I'm not interested in art to the slightest bit. Maybe that's why I wasn't paying much attention and in fact I didn't follow the plot very carefully, although it was actually quite superficial to begin with. And Sylvie Testud... I'm starting to dislike her. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this movie. Its plot isn't an overly intricate one - an art historian tries to uncover the identity of a woman who appears in a series of paintings from a particular artist, always depicted facing away from the viewer - but it doesn't have to be. The film is well-written, well-acted, and just generally well-made. One wouldn't think that watching a character doing research would be interesting viewing, but "Ce que mes yeux ont cu" actually pulls it off. If you're looking for a small-scale, more believable, and better constructed story in the same vein as "The Da Vinci Code", you should look into this movie. I definitely preferred it to that Dan Brown stinker. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Audience Member a worthy effort but felt like it was hastily completed...
