Audience Member Big Trek fan..but didn't really follow DS9 after the second season. This documentary made me wish I had. it's also funny, comprehensive, and heartfelt in its own right. I wish there was a sequel...Until then, I might have to watch it again. DS9 and Trek fans will really enjoy this. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review coralline a I was hoping it would be a retrospective on a good series. Part of it was, & that was fairly okay, right up until it got preachy & political. They spent too much time on recent events, instead of the on the series. Also, editing was wildly uneven and disjointed. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Really great inside perspectives for fans of DS9. It was really great to get some more time with my favorite Captain and some of my top characters in Star Trek shows and movies! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member I was always a Trek fan since I was a kid. DS9 really spoke to me. The way the characters were developed really made it such a great show. It was good to see the gang together again. It was a really interesting way to get the audience involved in the documentary instead of just going over old stories. It really is a must see if you were a fan of the show. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member A must-see for DS9 fans. They didn't get must fanfare during their run and it's never too late to show some love. Possibly one of the best-underarted SciFi shows around. Seeing the cast together is great! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member huge DS9 fan! an incredible look into the history of the show from the creators and cast! a must see for any true DS9 fan Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 11/22/20 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Julian Roman MovieWeb What We Left Behind reunites the original DS9 cast, writers, filmmakers, and studio executives. It also explores a jaw-dropping storyline for season eight. A must see for fans and anyone who appreciates great science fiction. Rated: 4/5 Aug 6, 2019 Full Review Hayden Cornmell Nonfics An honest, engaging, and surprisingly funny look back at one of modern television's greatest achievements. Aug 4, 2019 Full Review Victoria Luxford Radio Times While the length and depth of detail may lose newcomers, What We Left Behind provides everything a fan of the show could want. Rated: 4/5 Jun 30, 2019 Full Review Ed Whitfield The Ooh Tray If Trekkies ever needed reminding that their thoughtless and thought terminating rejection of the so-called black sheep of the Trek family was imbecilic then and, in the age of Star Trek: Discovery, indefensible now, this is the time. Jun 29, 2019 Full Review Jared Mobarak Jaredmobarak.com Despite blatantly targeting the fans that helped crowdsource it, the much loftier goal of contextualizing DS9 within the annals of sci-fi and television history is also met. Rated: 7/10 May 30, 2019 Full Review Allen Christian Flickering Myth Wonderful comfort food for fans of the series, and the perfect way to cap the end of any future rewatch rotations.
