The director made his name in the '70s with a series of intense fictional films, but he's also proven a fascinating documentarian. Go to Full Review

Wheel of Time is flawed because Herzog attempts to illustrate faith through the exercise of faithfulness. He runs after the poetry of Buddhism and it eludes him. Go to Full Review

John J May 10 I am generally a Herzog fan, but this film I found to be a very superficial treatment of the subject. I am a western born Buddhist and have participated in a Kalachakra initiation by the Dalia Lama at Bodhgaya, and have made the pilgrimage to Mt. Kalaish, the two topics of this film. I am also a professional filmmaker. Herzog focused only on the pageantry of the events and never even asked what they are about. As but one example, there are many scenes of people making prostrations, but he never asks about the symbolism and experience of prostrations. He never even explored the meaning of the title of the film, the Wheel of Time. While the film is visually interesting, it is a superficial exploration of a complex teaching and culture. The scenery and costumes sometime steal the show away from the actors tho I’m not complaining about that. Definitely a show I will rewatch over and over again and still find something new I missed. See more charles v 05/05/2023 just good enough to keep me watching. not satisfying whatsoever. Why was everyone constantly crying? See more 12/12/2021 Too much has changed from book and for no good reason character's for most let's face it apart from Rand all look wrong from book. Few offers. 1. Moraine is suddenly in a gay and in relationship with the Amilin Chair why.? Was better way originally was. 2. Now dragon reborn can be any of them even females.?? Really books put as fact early on and Said often, that would be reborn as a male that channels the male side if the power. (Why change this when already Great. ) There just a few reasons why fans of original works and books may find this dossapoiting. Will say that the acting is good and picture is great if can find HD version, should probably say roughly based on book series as goes of from it a lot. I'll end hear as don't won't to go on about all found wrong or just frustratingly no sense changes made extra. See more 12/10/2021 I enjoy watching this show but one thing that stands out to me is the Aes Sedai are supposed to look young and ageless. All the ones on the show look old as dirt. From Moraine to Leandrin and even Siuane Sanche all look old and not ageless. See more 12/06/2021 If this is about monks 5 stars if it's the BS adaption amazon made of the WOT then 0 stars See more Read all reviews
