Nick Schager Lessons of Darkness A respectful depiction of religious zealotry Rated: B+ Nov 29, 2005 Full Review Leslie Felperin Variety What could end up feeling like a by-the-numbers Discovery Channel docu is enlivened considerably by wry asides from the helmer. Jul 22, 2005 Full Review Walter V. Addiego San Francisco Chronicle The director made his name in the '70s with a series of intense fictional films, but he's also proven a fascinating documentarian. Rated: 3/4 Jul 22, 2005 Full Review Maria Garcia Film Journal International Wheel of Time is flawed because Herzog attempts to illustrate faith through the exercise of faithfulness. He runs after the poetry of Buddhism and it eludes him. Mar 1, 2007 Full Review Jeffrey Chen Window to the Movies Herzog clearly communicates an outsider-looking-in status in Wheel of Time. Pete L Season 2 is much improved over a shaky start with Season 1 (which I still enjoyed but faced some issue with covid/cast etc). Looking forward to season 3 Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 10/11/23 Full Review charles v just good enough to keep me watching. not satisfying whatsoever. Why was everyone constantly crying? Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 05/05/23 Full Review Chani L It was an interesting film, recommend. Seemed off on some of the messages, but overall worth my time. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 09/04/22 Full Review dannyel k As TV series enthusiast I have watched a lot of content. This one despite its decent budget failed miserably. The source material was thrown in the trash. It's loosely based on book, they kept the character names (personalities not so much). I would admit there is attention to detail and some major things from the book were kept as well. However everything in between was thrown under the bus. If you have ever read the books do yourself a favor and listen to the audio books instead of watching this sad excuse of a TV show. Producers will never learn from the failures of Game of Thrones and what happens when you go too far away from the source material. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Too much has changed from book and for no good reason character's for most let's face it apart from Rand all look wrong from book. Few offers. 1. Moraine is suddenly in a gay and in relationship with the Amilin Chair why.? Was better way originally was. 2. Now dragon reborn can be any of them even females.?? Really books put as fact early on and Said often, that would be reborn as a male that channels the male side if the power. (Why change this when already Great. ) There just a few reasons why fans of original works and books may find this dossapoiting. Will say that the acting is good and picture is great if can find HD version, should probably say roughly based on book series as goes of from it a lot. I'll end hear as don't won't to go on about all found wrong or just frustratingly no sense changes made extra. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member I enjoy watching this show but one thing that stands out to me is the Aes Sedai are supposed to look young and ageless. All the ones on the show look old as dirt. From Moraine to Leandrin and even Siuane Sanche all look old and not ageless. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 12/10/21 Full Review Read all reviews
