A great film, but not for everyone. I loved it, but I love all his films. Mr Porumboiu has a unique and original way of storytelling and filmmaking. Fellini sad: I'm a Born Liar; and the lies in this film are characters by themselves. You will never know why the lies, you will guess but the truth is well concealed. If I had to choose between the title... there are two, I choose Metabolism. They both were lying to each other and to others, thus creating opportunities for themselves. Certain dialogs were a bit mysterious but always interesting. I recommend this film to cinephiles and experimental film lovers.

One of the most patient films I've seen in awhile, When Evening Falls on Bucharest or Metabolism is a slow moving statement on the art of filmmaking and one that has extreme personal relevance. Many will likely tucker out before the end, but there is more under the surface to appreciate.
