Audience Member Perhaps the worst Jerry Lewis movie made. It's possible the day the clown cried is worse but since it's never been released this could be the worst. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/08/23 Full Review Audience Member Jerry Lewis shouts his way through this comedy which has its moments, but too few of them. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member Great movie for those that like classic humor. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/15/23 Full Review Audience Member Not the most funny, but still a nice and often lost film. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Now THIS is amusing! Most critics, if not all, did not appreciate this film. Doesn't matter. Few things make me laugh anymore, but this film did more than once. Off beat humor to be sure, rather slow paced as well, but this film is to me a series of skits connected together. Comic legend Jerry Lewis does some pretty original stuff in this one. SEE the entire film here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6PGW6l-puU4 Tends to be too long however and the premise is crazy. On finding out he is rejected from serving in WWII, Lewis the billionaire decides to make his own army. Of course, the Germans are made to look stupid as our band of merrymen make their way to the front. Many of the sets are in studio. Like the one on a yacht that's supposed to be on the high seas speeding toward Europe. There are no waves, no water, nothing to tell you the crew is on water at all. This is not Lewis's finest hour, but still I found much of the film entertaining and clever and intentionally stupid. Lewis uses his usual group of actors seen in many of his films. REVIEWS: 100% One Jerry Lewis' funnier movies. Sure it may be dated and somewhat offensive but so what. 20% 26/100. Terribly unfunny, to the point of being offensive. This is one of Jerry Lewis' worst films, and considering how many bad movies he has made,... 10% The film received a "BOMB" rating in Leonard Maltin's Movie Guide.
