Wesley Morris Boston Globe A fine film of few words and very little motion. Rated: 3/4 Mar 4, 2005 Full Review Manohla Dargis New York Times A deadpan comedy shot through with a vein of despair, the Uruguayan film Whisky is a pint-size pleasure. Rated: 3.5/5 Mar 3, 2005 Full Review Rene Rodriguez Miami Herald With its intentional pacing and spare but precise dialogue, Whisky works up a unique mood that's languorous yet exhilarating. Rated: 3/4 Feb 4, 2005 Full Review Roger Moore Movie Nation An understated character study in loneliness that is one of the most celebrated films to ever come out of Uruguay. Rated: 3/4 Feb 12, 2020 Full Review Paul Dale The List Something of an evasive, downbeat joy. A peculiarly sour poem os mislaid loyalty, grief and pessimism. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Marianne B Very Well made but too ambiguous for me Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Ravenswood R Very unique film, beautifully made, quirky and enjoyable. Great camera work and editing. Good premise which could have been expanded and developed a bit more but there is plenty to work with as it is. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/03/23 Full Review Audience Member La película nos muestra la monotonía de la vida; la trama es buena y las actuaciones son excelentes; la recomiendo si te gusta el cine latino. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member Some stories don't need to be told, and this is one of them. It could have - and should have - been edited down to about 20 minutes; and even then it would have likely just been mediocre. Quite possibly the only piece of film cut from this movie was a 90-second shot of a secondary character brushing their teeth. And I really wanted to like it too. Oh well, hopefully the filmmakers didn't have to pay too much for their awards. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Audience Member PIECE OF SHIT !!! BORING MOVIE WITH BORING ACTORS !!!!
