Sheri Linden Los Angeles Times Though its early sections feel repetitive and self-congratulatory, the doc's tension builds in the way director Mary Liz Thomson uses archival material, much of it from TV news. Rated: 3/5 Dec 7, 2012 Full Review Frank Scheck The Hollywood Reporter A moving if sometimes overly exhaustive examination of the mystery behind the 1990 car bombing of environmental activists. Nov 19, 2012 Full Review Ronnie Scheib Variety The film, produced by Cherney, makes a clear and cogent case (later upheld by a court verdict) that police and FBI falsified evidence in order to discredit Bari's cause. Nov 19, 2012 Full Review Brent Simon Shared Darkness An engaging document of Bari's eventual exoneration (in her own bombing), but also a nonfiction tribute to the steel-spined spirit of Bari and other dedicated non-violent activists. Rated: B+ Dec 8, 2012 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member Powerful and inspiring; provides a comprehensive history of how a grass roots group of activists saved our coastal redwoods from total annihilation by clear cutting junk bond laden corporate loggers and how the FBI and law enforcement sided with corporate interests against peaceful, law abiding citizens. Wonderful footage and music documents a unique time, place and people. Don't miss it! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/08/23 Full Review Audience Member A poignant and uplifting story of environmental activists who survive a murder attempt only to then be subjected to police and FBI corruption. A very worthwhile film. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member This is an important film to see if you care about your First Amendment rights. The film will only be playing in LA for a week so please go see it . Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Read all reviews
