The extraordinary life of Regina Jones is one not only shaped by history, but also one that made history. From pregnant and married at 15, through the middle of the Watts Rebellion of 1965, to emerging as a groundbreaking newspaper publisher, Regina is a testament to the American experience. That lived experience, as a Black American woman raising a family of 5 children, stepping in places where she was not wanted, and navigating a world that offered her no favors, is one that is still too often overlooked. Who in the Hell is Regina Jones turns a lens on Regina's remarkable journey -- the invisible labor, the turmoil, struggle and the joy of a modern-day Black woman.

Sydney C @sydNYC Jan 13 Who in the Hell Is Regina Jones? is a must-watch documentary that finally gives Regina Jones the recognition she has long deserved. Jones is the co-founder and publisher of SOUL Magazine, a innovative Black publication that predated Rolling Stone and was boldly Black-centric, showcasing Black artists, Black voices, and Black excellence at a time when mainstream media all but ignored or exploited them. The film powerfully chronicles Jones’s extraordinary journey from being a extremely young mother and participant in the Watts Rebellion, to becoming a formidable media mogul and public relations powerhouse. This documentary is especially compelling in its unflinching honesty. Critics and audiences alike praise the film for restoring Jones to her rightful place in history. See more Read all reviews
