Phil Schreiber, a self-involved hedge fund manager escapes to the Hamptons with his wife and son at the beginning of the pandemic. Making an already fraught situation worse is the surprise arrival of Phil’s college roommate Charlie. An exemplar of Falstaffian excess, Charlie is also the keeper of some of Phil’s darkest secrets. To make matters worse for Phil, his wife and son love Charlie. As Charlie makes himself at home -- secrets are revealed that threaten to do more harm than the virus they’re all hiding out from.

It has to find that balance between being overly broad and having something to say about how people are forced to come together due to a pandemic, but I was impressed with what director Xavier Manrique pulled out here.

I guess being able to seclude in a beach home in the Hamptons is relatable? Lol.. hard to find feelings in this movie. I give it a few stars bc it does touch on teen anxiety. The people that suffered or had to work through covid would think this is a joke.

I watched this film on Amazon and it was a great film. It is a Drama but has some funny moments which make our characters lovable. Very well acted and it takes me back to the 90's memory lane of how great movies were made: with a great story.

Synopsis
