While the film does give way to Giallo tropes of convoluted mysteries with crimes committed by the sleaziest of characters, Who Saw Her Die? is worth a welcome watch for its attempts to inject social relevance and gravitas to the thrills it depicts. Go to Full Review

…Don’t Look Now is inevitably greater than Who Saw Her Die? but there’s something rather eerie about such a similar story, even if Lado’s version is presented in a far less ethereal, more procedural way… Go to Full Review

Lado uses Venice almost as well as Nicolas Roeg did in Don’t Look Now (1973), which also covers the aftermath of the death of a child, with Lazenby running through the nooks and crannies of the city. Go to Full Review

Weighted by parental anguish, it’s an unusually serious, well-crafted giallo with a particularly eerie Ennio Morricone score. Go to Full Review

Undeniably dated, even cheesy in parts ... what makes [Who Saw Her Die?] well worth watching is ... Lado's gliding camera and Ennio Morricone's magnificently eerie score. Go to Full Review

Irate T @IrateTyrant Oct 17 Giallo better than critically acclaimed DON'T LOOK NOW? Yup Venice, missing children with estranged parents: am I talking about Don't Look Now? No, absolutely not. That movie sucked. This movie is rocked with the knockers by Ennio Morricone. It is much more riveting and much more intriguing. What docked it a couple points was the fact that every Italian black-haired normal looking guy in the world looks exactly the same, so I was confused by the end. But of course, I knew who it was going to be... Which was, while way more predictable than Don't Look Now, way more fulfilling, of course. Literally, I haven't heard Morricone this good since A Fistful of Dollars. I love giallo. I've watched a number of them through Arrow-Player, and even though I'm hemorrhaging money from my bank account, I am forced to keep the streaming service. Thank you, giallo, I love you! See more 03/21/2021 1968. A red-haired child murdered and buried in the snow. Four years later, Venice with George Lazenby and his redhead kid. Great score building up those fake-outs; that build of atmosphere, so European -you can't put your finger on. Giallo touches, Venice crumbling, the guilt implicit in not being there when she is taken. The children singing and playing - but it doesn't fully hold as the plot unfolds. How much of this influenced Roeg? See more júlio a 07/24/2020 É um filme fraquinho, Morricone me parece engatinhando patinando ainda na trilha sonora aqui. As cenas de sexo são medonhas, rs. Mortes de crianças, ou seja, é um tema até pesado! The story of child murders and the mystery connecting them, it's a fun little whodunnit and I would recommend giving it a spin if you have the chance. Rental! See more 12/12/2016 An interesting giallo featuring a post-Bond Lazenby looking more like a hippie than a superspy. Great Morricone score and you'll never guess who done it until the end because--there's no logic. Lots of gratuitous nudity and suspense to keep you hanging on though. See more Read all reviews
