MontiLee Stormer MovieReelist.com Widow's Point has all of the hallmarks of a classic ghost story: missing husbands, tragic brides, dead starlets. Nothing exciting happens when people follow the rules. Rated: 3/5 Oct 29, 2020 Full Review Rich Cross Starburst The glimpses of ghoulish spectres, ghostly hands reaching out to grasp unsuspecting flesh, and the eerie sounds of disembodied voices: all of this is competently done, but none of this build-up is particularly scary. Rated: 2/5 Sep 4, 2020 Full Review Abbie Bernstein Assignment X Inexpensive and not epic, but a tidy supernatural tale for those with a taste for some compact, PG-type horror. Rated: B Sep 2, 2020 Full Review Josh Bell Crooked Marquee There are a handful of spooky touches, but Lamberson never captures the tone of Lovecraftian dread he seems to be aiming for. Audience Member Woof - a very low budget, b-rated ghost-hunter-esq style movie. Sheffer's acting is bad - like 70's porn comically bad. He doesn't so much act as sounds like you just hanging out with an high mileage, aging Hollywood b-grade at a bar. There's also a bunch of community theater actors, and some 20-somethings trying to get their foot in the Hollywood door. The plot's flashbacks are the best acting in the show; but some will have your rolling laughing it's so bad. Get good and stoned before watching it and it might be moderately interesting. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member I thought this movie was a total waste of tomatoes. Kept thinking perhaps it was going to be like Rocky Horror Picture Show so continued to watch. That's my story and I stick by it!! Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member Gregory Lamberson does an amazing job directing this film. It is refreshing to see real cinematography, and character development to bring the tension of the story across instead of resorting to weird shaky camera motions to throw the viewer off kilter. The story is really good. The kids in the film were excellent at expressing fear and creepy! A few of the scenes had the hairs standing up on my arms! Really liked the extras. If you want a good story with excellent cinematography and to watch excellent actors who really know how to bring a character to life, then watch this movie. The movie is smooth until there is tension. Then when there is tension it is like you are in an electric fog in anxiety. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
