Christopher Null Filmcritic.com A title like Wild Camp lends itself to all kinds of connoations -- none of which indicate a very good movie might be coming -- but this French pseudo-thriller is actually not half bad. Rated: 3.5/5 Dec 26, 2006 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member This was a really good film. It's got that "love is boundless" kind of feel, which I'm fine with. We've seen this a lot, but I liked that way they've done it here. I guess the film is a wee bit too short, and we never really get to see so much character development, and it starts to get non-believable. The scripts good and the acting from the cast is splendid. The characters aren't all so likeable. The ending is something a bit more than tragic and it really is well done. This has minor flaws that you won't notice much because this is a lovely film with a lot more positive features than it's flaws. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member A tranquil campground in rural France is the background for this erotic sizzler between bored, beautiful teenager Camille (Isild le Besco - A Tout de Suite, Sade), and a down on his luck ex con, Blaise (Denis Levant - The Lovers on the Bridge, Beau Travail ). Fresh out of prison, Blaise accepts a job as sailing instructor at the camp run by his brother in law, Eddie. Haunted by violent nightmares, scorned by the other campers and reminded daily of his estranged wife and children, Blaise tries mightily to resist Camille's charms. But the girl's spontaneity and nubile sexuality awaken Blaise's own repressed capacity for life. It's not long before this odd couple forge an erotic liaison that leads to deadly consequences for all concerned. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member A young woman, more of a grl really, is caravaning with her parents when the new sailing instructor shows up. He is more than twice her age & married with a kid but she throws herself at him anyway. They run away together. Thankfully this is a very short film, but it still manages to be a little slow.
