When President Ulysses S. Grant (Kevin Kline) learns that diabolical inventor Dr. Arliss Loveless (Kenneth Branagh) is planning to assassinate him, he orders Civil War hero James West (Will Smith) and U.S. Marshal Artemus Gordon (also Kline) to arrest him. West's trigger-happy personality doesn't always mesh well with that of the thoughtful Gordon, but they manage to work together. And with the help of a mysterious stranger (Salma Hayek), West and Gordon close in on Loveless.

The giant spider movie that only exists because Kevin Smith didn't want to make the first one. It was never going to win any awards BUT I think it cops more hate than it deserves because it's the cool thing to hate on this film. It got some chuckles out of me and as a popcorn flick it was mildly entertaining. I went into this film fully prepared to hate it but I don't. It's definitely not the greatest thing on the planet but it's not the worst either.

《蝙蝠侠》系列大获成功后，华纳当即决定转战超人续集。93年超人之死漫画爆红，凯文史密斯为其改编了第三版剧本，由于种种原因该剧本成为了废案，制片人乔恩彼得斯不忍将自己的大蜘蛛反派梦埋没，改编剧本后斥资1.7亿制成《飙风战警》。本片讲述一位身体素质强悍，性格略鲁莽的美国美军特工和足智多谋，喜欢鼓捣小发明的联邦特警联手对抗没腿反派的故事。故事设定在南北战争之后，一些创作灵感来源于文艺复兴时期，本片将复古风与科技风相融合，使其拥有独特的蒸汽朋克风，动作戏算不错，很多场景的构图也非常有意思。超前的设计使影片非常酷！让坦克车在火车轨道上跑，并给它安装机械腿，躲避追缉.....脖子上的磁力项圈和防弹马甲等，甚至为影片的叙事做出非常巧妙的铺垫。不过有些桥段很猎奇，例如尸体眼部成像、迷你手枪和荞麦......总之，这些设计很有趣🧐 最后特效大蜘蛛是最精彩的部分，蒸汽机驱动大型机械爆赞！完全不输近几年电影中的小型反应堆！威尔史密斯贡献了一段有趣且精彩的打戏，凯文克莱恩好像不会打，于是充当了搞笑担当。总的来说是一部不错的蒸汽朋克风电影！由于是拿超人剧本改的，我认为多少有一些DC人物的映射。不过我不希望任何一部超人电影拍成这种低俗喜剧风格，如果当年的超人真的拍出来的话，对这位超级英雄的形象将是毁灭性的，如同上世纪《超级朋友》、《海绵宝宝》和《恶搞之家》等对海王人物形象的致命伤害。
