Phil Freeman culturevulture.net His writing is ill-served by the clips of him reading it, and the interview segments, while occasionally illuminating...don't do much to explain why anyone should care. Feb 17, 2004 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member Good but short. Also, I'm not sure that being on the lam after shooting your wife necessarily constitutes "travel." Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member great doc on one of my faves Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member It is always interesting to listen to Burroughs talk. He has this amazing voice that just tickles all the way up your spinal column. The only problem is when people decide to focus more to the drug aspect of him than the spiritual aspect of his character. This movie has good moments but is a little to drug ambiance heavy. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Anyone who was never interested in Burroughs will find this documentary surprisingly coherent. Hearing him speak will clarify the style in which you approach his work. The interview featured is brilliant, and the readings, of course, priceless. However, there's a much more interesting and thorough documentary about him called "Burroughs", which I highly recommend if you can find it. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Extremely boring. Do not bother watching, absolute waste of time. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Read all reviews
