Audience Member Loved the windsurfing, the happy harmlessness and fun with Tom and Nicole acting well as usual. Enjoyable family movie. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member 80's cheese at it's finest. Bad dialogue unnecessary nudity. But strangely entertaining comedy drama romance about a windsurfer. There are some glaring problems with the film. But it's strength lies in the humour. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member This film has been long forgotten. I had to watch Windrider when it surfaced on late night television. The performances were good, and the photography, particularly the wind surfing sequences, was well done. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Stewart Simpson (Tom Burlinson) lives in a magnificent beachfront home with his wealthy father and indulges his passion for windsurfing on a daily basis. His father (Charles 'Bud' Tingwell) may fault him for not working at a regular job, but he can appreciate his son's remarkable abilities on the waves. Jade (Nicole Kidman) is an alluring rock singer who starts a romance with P.C., but as the romance blooms sport, friends and an upcoming championship become secondary. After several setbacks P.C. could wipe out completely. also stars Jill Perryman, Simon Chilvers, Kim Bullad, Matt Parkinson, Penny Brown and Alistair Browning. directed by Vincent Monton. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member Very light and harmless Australian romcom from the 80s. Not much substance but great scenery and some nice wind surfing. With a 18-teen year old Nicole Kidman. It's ok, especially for Kidman's fans. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Read all reviews
