Meyer Levin (Patterson Murphy) Esquire Magazine Myrna Loy is charming, and Carey Grant makes the best of a part unsuited to him. Has some thrilling flying stuff, especially in the climax. Apr 17, 2020 Full Review Ann Ross Maclean's Magazine There has been such a long rest from flying pictures that it is quite a thrill once more to watch death-cheating aviators making spirals and cartwheels half a mile wide above the clouds. steve d Not even close to one of their best. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member 2.5: This is what they call an old-fashioned Hollywood ending: everything works out alright and it is comically easy to predict. Cary Grant really didn't age that much over the years, at least not until the 1950's or 60's. He had all his charm and charisma at this relatively early date as well, but it was a bit tempered. This character doesn't allow him to use his movie star charm to the maximum extent possible either as it is a rather serious role. The story is interesting enough I'm sure felt like it was ripped straight from the headlines of the day. Myrna Loy plays her usual character, but a little more subdued and serious as well. It's a solid A-picture, but nothing to write home about. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Great actors, great story, great movie. It's really exciting and dramatic. I really liked it. If your a fan of Grant you should see this movie. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Audience Member I learned from this film that a blind man is still better than a woman.
