peter m If this were a pilot for a series it wouldn't get commissioned. Dom Lenoir managed to extract painfully average performances froma decent cast. The plot had some serious holes and the soundtrack did made the whole thing laborious. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 10/29/21 Full Review Audience Member There is very little that is mysterious, and nothing that is thrilling, about this movie. Extraordinarily slow, with little in the way of character development to carry you through the movie. The lead character spends the vast majority of the movie in his own induced purgatory of routine and a stalled life which, while may be ultimately relieved at the end, the audience must still endure the tedium. The fact that there is a serial killer attached to this movie should have absolutely no bearing on your decision to watch this movie. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member Winter Ridge could be a thought-provoking film as its focus is on a topic many have some experience with - patients with dementia, but unfortunately it is given a rather superficial, unrealistic treatment and it makes the film shallow and predictable. There are also several details that are completely unrealistic that took me completely out of the story - how do you have a tiny infant with a husband who is completely incapacitated by dementia?? It doesn't help that most of the actors are completely over acting and the "protagonist" is just another asshole cop with an anger problem. The best part of the film are the stunning (but superfluous) scenery shots of the beautiful Devon countryside. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Another small police drama, to relax with after a busy day. The acting and plot, are better than many of the films on streaming currently. If you like a mystery where you eventually find out. Who the killer is, and why he or she, murdered people. Then you'll be fine with this basic film. I must advise that you use closed captioning, so that you can turn down the volume of your Home Theater Stereo system. When there is no dialog being spoken, the production company seems to feel that high decibel orchestral music is required. The volume range can go from the quiet of a library, to a full on loud concert, in an instant. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Actually, so bad itâ(TM)s almost good. Sky gave it a 5 star rating and trailer looked promising. The acting makes it seem like a parody of bad detective films. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member Mediocre writing, mediocre direction, mediocre acting and a tired plot. Basically, a run of the mill TV movie of the week. Pretty scenery, but not worth the time. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Leslie Felperin Guardian The final who-and-why-reveal is so loopy and absurd, it almost makes the film worth watching - but only if you have a taste for generic crime drama. Rated: 2/5 Aug 31, 2018 Full Review Read all reviews
