Clint Worthington RogerEbert.com For as shaky as its foundation may be, ‘Witchboard' offers just enough madcap madness to entertain. Rated: 2.5/4 Aug 15, 2025 Full Review Randy Myers San Jose Mercury News The alluring but slithery presence of occult expert Alexander Babtiste (Jamie Campbell Bower, wickedly good) adds more spice to a guilty pleasure to savor. Rated: 3/4 Aug 14, 2025 Full Review Mark Hanson Slant Magazine Chuck Russell is certainly committed to making an old-school, effects-laden genre thrill ride. Rated: 2/4 Aug 10, 2025 Full Review Sarah Vincent Sarah G Vincent Views By being uneven, “Witchboard” is faithful to the original and begging for a sequel, which seems unnecessary. It is an ambitious story that under develops its characters and is too comfortable with tropes. Aug 19, 2025 Full Review Joel Copling Spectrum Culture The whole affair doesn’t take itself too seriously, which affords a lot of breathing room for audiences to have fun with its mix of genre elements. Mr. Hollywood Nothing in this film didnt happen in a better way in other films. Remake or not, it wasnt fun and it just isnt needed. Skip it like its a day old lobster Rated 2 out of 5 stars 08/19/25 Full Review Juandi I can say that some effort was put into this film, though it seems they ran out of budget. It’s as cheesy & cliche as the trailer makes it seem. The lead female was not the strongest actor of the cast & it shows. I’m definitely not revisiting this or recommending it. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 08/19/25 Full Review Randy A decent horror film & tries to hard to be great but uses tired horror film cliches and offers nothing particularly original or scary Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 08/17/25 Full Review eric I do like this movie Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/17/25 Full Review Heather K I really enjoyed this movie!
