Andrena A A pretensions movie. It tried so hard to be funny that it ended up being exhausting. The characters are obviously autorreferencial at a degree that it reach the point that I wanted the movie to end already. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 05/26/23 Full Review Audience Member Many, if not all of us, have been in the death rattle of a relationship. It sucks. Wobble Palace takes place over a Los Angeles weekend (with some flashbacks) where Eugene (Eugene Kotlyarenko) and Jane (Dasha Nekrasova) split time in their home so the other can pursue other love interests. Eugene frustratingly meets up with several women over dating apps while Jane spends time with her paramour (*cannot find actor) and a young skater-boy (Jack Kilmer) she pulls off the street. Eugene is charismatic, but pitiful. Jane is cold, but mildly interesting — even though we see her self-consciousness bubble to the surface when a "real" artist (Caroline Herbert) calls her "basic". It's definitely a commentary on the mid-2010s (the weekend is a few days before the 2016 election), but it doesn't feel like a rebuke. Eugene misses his girlfriend and reflects fondly on their beginnings — they actually met in line to vote in the 2012 election — but, understandably, cannot take Jane's growing dislike of him. Had these two actually stayed together, I think I'd be more critical of the film. Although it concludes as you'd expect it to, you don't really feel cathartic for either of them. The breakup comes as if tugging at a foot-long Band-Aid, centimeter by centimeter, stuck to a leg covered with thick hair — it's entertaining, no doubt, but don't expect to leave feeling great. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member As hateable as the guy is in this movie is I feel like it was intended that way. Idk why I like this but at least it was interesting .The irony of the over progressiveness was fun . 2.6. I love how this depicts how a Bernie follower is in real life though . Even though the guy is unbearable the girl is one of the worse human beings I’ve ever seen in a movie Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 04/18/20 Full Review Audience Member Girl in the movie sucks. She looks like a heroin addict Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member was pleasantly surprised by this film. laughed a lot. used social media in a non cringe way. cast was great, can't believe it was made in 8 days. better than most stuff on Netflix Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Richard Brody New Yorker Neither character offers much more than a handful of idiosyncrasies, which, nonetheless, are often funny, poignant, and clever. Oct 15, 2018 Full Review Kimber Myers Los Angeles Times Kotlyarenko and Nekrasova shine a glaring iPhone flashlight on their characters' - and their generation's - flaws. Oct 11, 2018 Full Review Teo Bugbee New York Times Movies about the millennial moment are multitudinous, but "Wobble Palace" is special: a sendup of broke-artist types that shimmers with abashed affection. Oct 4, 2018 Full Review Filipe Freitas Always Good Movies The plot is too flimsy and unconcerned, climaxing with a boring and despondent Halloween party where it's hard to distinguish between what is meant to be funny. Rated: 2/5 Jun 17, 2019 Full Review Brent Hankins The Lamplight Review Wobble Palace is billed as a satire of millennial romance, but nothing about it feels particularly satirical - it just feels like we're spinning our wheels, watching two awful people do awful things in an effort to out-asshole each other. Rated: 2/10 Apr 9, 2019 Full Review A.S. Hamrah n+1 Nekrasova's voice is the voice of a generation - in tone at least. Dec 18, 2018 Full Review Read all reviews
