Kyle Logan Chicago Reader Spotlighting the subject’s mother brings a fresh perspective to this coming-of-age monster film. Aug 8, 2023 Full Review Dennis Harvey 48 Hills Jacques Molitor’s film doesn’t have the original ideas needed to leave a deep impression, but it’s very well done, and worthy of comparison to prior movies... Sep 20, 2023 Full Review Sarah Vincent Cambridge Day Don’t dismiss this werewolf drama because of the B-movie title. Rated: 2.5/4 Aug 19, 2023 Full Review Chris Joyce Movies and Munchies (YouTube) Silence and patience with both camera work and dialog help to create an unsettling atmosphere, elevating this movie from a thinly developed creature feature to something closer to art. Rated: 3.5/5 Aug 12, 2023 Full Review Josh Bell Crooked Marquee An engrossing, often haunting movie that breathes new life into a common horror subgenre. Rated: B Aug 8, 2023 Full Review Kat Hughes THN The perfect viewing partner for Good Manners, Wolfkin has an abundance of atmosphere and parental trauma. Petra U Sucks big time. Twilight did it better. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/21/24 Full Review Sean R First, this is NOT a werewolf film. It's more monster-as-metaphor crap. Some hair. Some nails. That's it. Skip it if you are expecting a creature film. Also, the film poses numerous key questions and subplots, and answers none of them. Get over yourself movie. You need to meet your audience at least half way: - What exactly is the cause of the boy's condition? - What exactly happened to his father? - What's the exact story with the people at the Communion? - Is the entire town part of this? - What's in the meat? - What's in the treatment? - Someone was bitten, shown to having a reaction, and then... nothing? For the love of god, stop with the false advertising. It's not a werewolf movie. It's not a monster movie. It's tired, lazy, and lies to the audience. Skip this. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 09/25/23 Full Review Joel P The best thing about this movie is when it's over, you never have to watch it again. There is nothing memorable in it. "Ginger Snaps" is a million times better. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 09/03/23 Full Review Read all reviews
