Critics Consensus

George Clooney and Brad Pitt's professional star power gives Wolfs zip even when it cycles through clichés of the fixer genre, making for a pleasing and slick throwback.

Moira MacDonald Seattle Times If George Clooney muttering sardonic asides in a black turtleneck is your particular jam, “Wolfs” is no hardship to sit through. Rated: 2.5/4 Sep 20, 2024 Full Review Chris Klimek Washington Post A key virtue of this comic thriller starring George Clooney and Brad Pitt is its welcome absence of preamble. Rated: 3/4 Sep 20, 2024 Full Review Robert Abele Los Angeles Times What Clooney and Pitt ultimately offer, whether deadpan or with raised voices, bored or engaged, is still above what passes for bunker onscreen charisma these days. Sep 20, 2024 Full Review Neely Swanson Easy Reader (California) Watts’ film isn’t high art and has more holes than swiss cheese but the dialogue is crisp and the two stars keep it afloat until the end when it no longer matters. Sep 20, 2024 Full Review Dana Kennedy AARP Movies for Grownups Pitt and Clooney haven’t worked together since they made the last of the Ocean's trilogy in 2007. This doesn't come close to equaling those films, but it's a nice return to form. Rated: 3/5 Sep 20, 2024 Full Review Linda and Al Lerner Movies and Shakers You can draw a line from Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid to the ending, already set for a sequel. Pairing Pitt and Clooney in another action comedy thriller is like catnip to the studios. We look forward to seeing these fixers spar again. Sep 20, 2024 Full Review Read all reviews

Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 09/20/24 Full Review Iris H It was pretty ridiculous Rated 3 out of 5 stars 09/20/24 Full Review SkyRo P The much-anticipated film "Wolfs" made its debut on Apple TV, with a limited theatrical release to boost its chances for awards. Eager to catch a glimpse of this star-studded flick, I made my way to the theaters. Brad Pitt and George Clooney headline the movie, bringing their A-list talent to the screen. In an era where true movie stars are rare, these two actors embody the essence of Hollywood glamour. Clooney shines with his impeccable comedic timing, action sequences, and a well-rounded character portrayal. Pitt complements him perfectly, adding depth to their on-screen dynamic. Their chemistry is electric, drawing viewers in from their first interaction. The duo’s blend of humor, action, and intelligence is a highlight throughout the film, showcasing their seamless partnership. It's clear that these actors not only share the screen but also a genuine camaraderie, cultivated through years of collaboration. The chemistry between them is palpable. Austin Abrams, a rising star with limited credits, holds his own alongside the seasoned actors. His performance adds comedic relief without overshadowing Clooney and Pitt, contributing significantly to the movie's success. While other supporting actors have brief appearances, Abrams, Clooney, and Pitt carry the film with their stellar performances. While the script may have lagged in some parts, a faster pace could have elevated the movie's impact. Despite this, the film's focus on storytelling is evident, even if it required a slight nudge in pacing. Overall, "Wolfs" delivered an enjoyable viewing experience, leaving me thoroughly entertained.
