Matt Brunson Film Frenzy The similarity to The Time Machine was strong enough that H.G. Wells’ heirs took a look. Rated: 2.5/4 Sep 20, 2025 Full Review Mark R. Leeper Mark Leeper's Reviews WORLD WITHOUT END could tell us a good deal about the early science fiction transitioning to more recognizable modern science fiction films, but that still does not make it a particularly notable film. Rated: 5/10 Sep 14, 2022 Full Review Alberto Abuín Espinof The film is one of the most original of that time of the fifties, and at the same time one of the most laughable. Blu B It's not bad. Stnadard Sci Fi 50's B Movie stuff here. It's kind of shocking how much of this makes up the core ideas of the first 2 Planet of the Apes movies a decade later. Would'nt shock me if this had a influence on it low key. It's honestly half decent overall. The story is interesting, makes perfect sense, they keep the core group together for the most part, and some of the asetics aren't bad. The core ideas are great too. The problems though are numerous. The 4 main actors all blend in terribly and besides Marlowe I could'nt tell you anything individual about each one of them. The worst parts of this is when they attempt to give them single subarcs that are so forgettable. Same can be said for all the rest of the supporting cast. The dialouge is extremely plot expose heavy but is interesting stuff. Mostly in the first half though. The special effects aren't the worst thing ever but they are shotty. Sometimes it look terrible, cheap, or uninspired. The climax really doesn't go how you think it will with a big battle and all and it kind of feels anticlimatic after spending so much of the brief runtime building up to what feels like a big battle. The fighting isn't the best stuff ever either and is at best ok. This needed better characters, better production value in the effects, less mediocre direction, and a better ending. Core premise is good though. Anyone who is a die hard fan of 50's Sci-Fi may want to check this out or any actors in this but most could skip it and not miss much. Or watch Planet of the Apes and Beneath. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 09/25/25 Full Review Cj T Unintentionally humorous and supremely entertaining. Filled with contradictions and wonderful costumes. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 06/10/25 Full Review Blobbo X Mildly entertaining for boys 12 and under in 1956. Outdated by 1957. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/02/25 Full Review Daniel C. M I don't really know how to properly rate this movie. It's biggest mistake presents itself in the form of ambition. It was so ahead of it's time, even came out 12 years before Planet of The Apes, which you would think the opposite case due to how similar they are. I risk in saying that if this movie was made today with a bigger budget and runtime, it would certainly be one of the greatest Sci-Fi's of all time. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/03/24 Full Review CodyZamboni Z Cheap, amateurish, laughble, campy, plodding, Starts off with same plot as Planet of the Apes, Astronauts landing on future Earth, But only comes to life with when three attractive lonely ladies show up, Also when the astronauts fire bazookas at the mutants, that was cool. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 09/04/24 Full Review georgan g Not a bad premise, but holy smokes the "mutates" worn the most terrible masks! Even the radiation which made them mutants couldn't have caused that. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Read all reviews
