Despite the earnest and heartfelt chapter 'Second Chances' — anchored by lovely performances from J.K. Simmons and Maria Kavogianni — 'Worlds Apart' is not doing anything new; it's a pretty average movie and hits the familiar story beats you'd expect from a romance movie with social commentary goals.

There was so much potential in this movie that would have made for a great and impactful story. Although it has a nice message it kinda lost its power by the end. It still is a very positive move forward for the Greek cinema and Papakaliatis sure proved he can make good cinema.
