TRAVIS G I just watched the movie WRONG NUMBERS. The movie has a lot of strong scenes that are deep and takes a look at what can go wrong from a one night stand. The movie is directed by Duane Edwards and stars Emily Hall & David Kelsey. This is a very realistic journey of a woman with believable characters that are incredibly genuine to watch on screen. The storyline pulls you in many directions as you're watching this movie. The movie has lots of real life circumstances. This is a natural ride through life portrayed on screen. It was also shot in a very cool way with many scenes that make you think and reflect. I thought all the lead actors all had great onscreen chemistry– they were great together. The sets and scenes are great. Check this movie out! You’ll remember it! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 03/20/25 Full Review Kolo P The film pretty much has two characters and a lot of dialogue which may be hard for those challenged with attention. There are no 1 second shots so we are forced to listen and watch the character interactions and responses to each other. Scenes like these need good actors to carry the performances and this pair (David Kelsey from 'Monsters' and Emily Hall from Lumina). It was nice to see the story unfold between the young girl and the older family man and the sets and locations were well lit and blended with the story easily without being too vibrant nor subdued. Nice film and easy to watch Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 03/17/25 Full Review Andrew W Wrong numbers is an independent drama by filmmaker Duane Edwards making his directorial feature film debut. Set in Chicago The film is broken into two halves The first half after a bad blind date in a restaurant perfect strangers Emma (Emily Hall) and Jack (David Kelsey) strike up a conversation and briefly share a connection. The second half is set ten months later where Emma coincidentally runs into Jack at the cafe she works at. However it becomes very clear their second meeting is no coincidence, and Jack has made some very drastic changes to his life since they last spoke. Viewers looking for a fast paced film with action and neat resolutions in the end will be sorely disappointed but for the rest of us the nuances of the story was definitely worth investing my time and energy into. The dialogue was very good and the characters felt relatable- I’ve met a lot of people like Jack and Emma well meaning individuals trying to navigate this messy world and being stuck in relationships routines and situations they don’t want to be in but just can’t break away from. Overall Wrong Numbers was a very put together film about longing unrequited love and reflecting on the chances you didn’t take and where it couldve lead. I look forward to seeing what director Duane Edwards does next. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/12/25 Full Review CJ J First of all, let me just start up by saying I don’t understand all of the one star reviews. This is a very well done indie that deserves quite a bit of praise. First off, the film looks great, well shot and composed. Both actors were entirely natural and real - something that is often missing from movies like this. The writing is strong, with an emphasis on conversation between disparate male/female dynamics. As the action progressed and took a genuine turn, l found myself talking to the TV, which I don’t do often, and to me, that’s good writing…I was fully engaged. Give this film a look; it showcases a lot of talent and is a cut above usual small-budget films. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/10/25 Full Review Clarke P The characters are believable and dialogue is smart. David Kelsey is outstanding in this role; he is an underrated actor. I would like to see more of him in leading roles. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/27/25 Full Review Angel r In what world does a young woman randomly ask an older man sitting alone in a restaurant that she just met for 20 minutes to “crash” at his place for the night. Felt like a cheesy porno movie in the beginning without the sex scene. Then all of sudden the man feels bad for cheating and kicks her out of his luxurious condo. After months had passed, she had already moved on with a boyfriend and the two reunite at her job and then he confesses his love and regrets towards her at her own house in which she shares with her new boyfriend. The best part was towards the end after getting turned down, he kicks her out at her own house “I’ll leave myself out just go”.
