Benjamin H. Smith Decider ... in its own ramshackle way, it is a far more authentic representation of the Wu-Tang Clan than anything HBO might get a big name Hollywood director to produce. Audience Member pretty bad but interesting Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Needed more substance Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member "Wu" covers much of the Wu-Tang Clan's history on a much more personal level, giving an intimate chronicling of the group's rise to fame and all after with essential interviews, entertaining anecdotes, and great footage. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member The production value is pretty amateur and it occasionally skims over the details to get to the (often-biased) drama, but on the other hand...it's filled with tons of candid footage of the Wu Tang Clan's formation. And viewed as a compilation tape it's fascinating. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Terribly made, but the subject matter is interesting. The Wu-Tang Clan deserves a better documentary than this. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review Audience Member It's an interesting documentary but its amateur production can at times be annoying. Other times, it gives it a certain charm. There is a ton of exclusive footage though and that's probably the best thing about the entire movie. What's being said by the people involved with the Wu is almost always enthralling. However, the way the story is edited (especially the ending) makes the whole subject lose a bit of its power. Still, it's a must see for people interested in the Wu Tang Clan, or those who enjoy music documentaries. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Read all reviews
