Y2K has good intentions but never quite sticks the landing. This story just doesn’t come together, and the coming-of-age comedy is inconsistent... The horror-centric comedic bits are rock solid, and there are (at least) a few fun character interactions.

As a whole, Y2K is a mixed bag. There’s a good cast, but they’re often underutilized. There are scenes with great set ups but inadequate payoffs, almost like the potential of the set up wasn’t really understood.

Pretty fun movie. Some references were probably lost on me due to my age but still fun and some good horror moments. Fun cast. I wish Danny lived. Could have been a little scarier or dragged out those moments longer. Still fun and would rewatch.
