Albert D A classic! My favorite of the three movies Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/16/24 Full Review Logan D Arrogant nobles think they can not only disrespect poor innocents by destroying their homes and temple, but the spirits as well. A fun classic film from Japanese cinema of the 60s. The trope of poor vs rich is nothing special but the inclusion of Yokai make the film worthy of viewing. They are portrayed by puppets, makeup, costumes, or visual trickery. A very bizzare film that spawned two sequels (standalone, i think). I enjoyed seeing the folklore portrayed. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 09/25/23 Full Review SmallSalamander Truly a classic. It highlights yokai in such a silly way. You can really tell how dated it is, but it has a special type of charm that I just don't see in very many cheezy old movies. Easy 10/10 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/12/23 Full Review Audience Member Wow, first person to review 100 Monsters! What an honor. It's a fun example of the genre and a solid latter work from Yasuda. It's as colorful and friendly as you would expect and with the welcome atmosphere of a quality 60s Japanese horror film. Competently acted and well shot. Recommended for fans of either the genre or 60s Japanese cinema in general. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 10/24/21 Full Review Read all reviews
