"You Should Have Left" ventures into the realm of psychological horror with a commendable attempt at crafting a compelling narrative. The film succeeds in delivering effective jump scares, providing moments of genuine tension and fear. The plot, while decent in concept, falters in its execution, leaving the audience with a sense of missed potential. The pacing, unfortunately, remains consistently slow throughout, never managing to pick up the momentum needed to elevate the suspense. Even in the final act, where one anticipates a crescendo, the film disappointingly maintains a sluggish pace. Despite its flaws, the film may appeal to viewers seeking a psychological thriller with a handful of well-executed jump scares, but those expecting a more dynamic and engaging storyline may find themselves wanting.
