Matt Weitz Dallas Morning News You can see the emotions of the characters pass through the actors' faces and bodies. Mr. Baumgartner shines brightest, perhaps because his character is the most conflicted. Rated: B+ Sep 30, 2004 Full Review Kevin Thomas Los Angeles Times There's a naturalness to the entire cast, yet there is considerable depth to the portrayals, and the interplay between the characters is exceptionally rich and nuanced. Rated: 1/4 Jun 18, 2004 Full Review Don Willmott Filmcritic.com undercooked in comparison to similar feature films Rated: 2.5/5 Jan 29, 2005 Full Review Frank Swietek One Guy's Opinion Even if [it] has a slightly mustry, afterschool special message to impart...the picture delivers it with sufficient charm and complexity to escape TV-movie mediocrity. Rated: B Oct 25, 2004 Full Review David Noh Film Journal International A sensitive coming-of-age story that, while not trailblazing in terms of originality, manages to be quietly affecting. Audience Member This was so good,so really good! The acting was extremely accurate, everyone was really good in it,especially Baumgartner, who managed to speak only with his eyes.A really heartfelt movie,I felt all the struggle.Everyone in the supporting cast was magnificent, they managed to deliver their emotions accurately! And the fact that this story, with all this struggle, manages to give us a positive ending is a very progressive twist for stories of this kind that always manage to end in heartbreak and loss showing the exact opposite of what this movie is about. It gets better is the message of this movie and yes you'll get over it!I have a feeling that the European cinema is far more accurate and far more progressive in movies of this genre, with the international cinema following them up,and the American cinema lagging far behind. There is no doubt that the French know where it's at! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Audience Member A young man was accidentally outed and become the social pariah. A very progressive film which overshadowed its nice message of individuality. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member An exceptional French drama with great acting, intriguing storyline and plenty to love. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Audience Member You'll get over it, is heart-warming, hot, romantic, funny at times, and most importantly well-written, and the performance was outstanding. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member Beautiful and moving Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Awful subtitles, unconvincing acting and overall very difficult to care about. Plus Jeremie Elkaim needs to shave. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Read all reviews
