Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Audience Member the start of a great B movie series Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Solid (and seemingly unknown drama according to this website) movie about a doctor (Lew Ayres) who has just graduated from medical school and is looking for place to work. His love for the occupation takes after his father, another doctor, in which he wants to work out of his home like he currently does, but then goes to New York City instead. There, his position as doctor becomes tough, as he tries to fit in with the others around him, including a wheelchair bound physician (Lionel Barrymore). It is a small film, from a unknown point of view especially from this website, that inspired the series of Dr. Kildare, as well as dramas centering around doctors and patients. I think it is a rather important drama, especially since there are series of TV shows, such as ER or Grey's Anatomy, that would trace its routes back to films like this. Ayres performance is quite good. Minor and sometimes silly, but interesting film.
