Jenny Nulf Austin Chronicle The heart is in the right place for Your Lucky Day, but the execution is a little loose. Rated: 2.5/5 Nov 17, 2023 Full Review Sheila O'Malley RogerEbert.com It's thrilling and suspenseful, with enough twists to keep you guessing, but the pointed commentary is impossible to ignore. Rated: 3/4 Nov 10, 2023 Full Review Steven Nguyen Scaife Slant Magazine The film coasts far on the pleasant surprise of some sharp plotting. Rated: 2.5/4 Nov 8, 2023 Full Review Douglas Davidson Elements of Madness Though the film doesn’t play like a judgment on the characters for their choices, necessarily, one can’t help but acknowledge that a system that promises big money is not built in your favor and Brown’s script reminds us of this at every turn. Rated: 4/5 Jan 23, 2024 Full Review Andy Klein FilmWeek (KPCC - NPR Los Angeles) It's very well worked out, very gruesome, and totally compelling. Nov 29, 2023 Full Review Miyako Pleines Spectrum Culture Daniel Brown’s feature debut Your Lucky Day is a smart thriller that manages to be lean and mean while still offering up some excellent social criticism. Dane B. M Wonderfully watchable even if you have to majorly suspend your disbelief. Wait until the credits are over because that's where the giveaway is. I was drawn in by the tension. The little twists will keep you engaged. Keep your eye out on the director/writer. This is just the beginning for an interesting career. The actors too, unknown to me and probably you, will get work after this. And they deserve it. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/21/24 Full Review Jeff D Although the ploy had an interesting original premise, there are so many unlikely, unrealistic and even lame -brained plot turns that overlooked the obvious that it was actually more like a comedy of errors. Did the writers not somehow in 2023 not understand how phones are connected to GPS data and trackable? Or the nature of file deletion and recovery, and things like police protocol? And most obvious of all-that a person can't claim a lottery ticket regardless if it was stolen or if someone killed the original holder. I'm pretty sure there is something in the fine print about this. ;) Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 06/11/24 Full Review Georgan G This intense action thriller kept me on the edge of my seat. The plot was written in such a way that several subplots are going on at once. Liked the use of the security cameras for some scenes. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 06/03/24 Full Review Audience Member I really wanted to like this movie because of Angus Cloud but this was definitely a movie I could have lived without watching. Would skip this. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 05/15/24 Full Review Audience Member This was much better than i expected. It’s a cross between a popcorn flick with some thriller commentary. The moral of the story is that greed infects everyone from all walks of life and creates chaos. I like that it just kept building from start to finish. I’d say this is promising director with tons of potential. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/11/24 Full Review Steffi B Wining a lottery is something not certain, no one can tell for sure, regardless of “logical, or rational thinking– i have been a big part of those who thought winning a lottery is just luck rather than spiritual insight, and my quest and eagerness in wining the lottery kept pushing me in realizing this fact and today, my story has changed after i won a lottery worth £2million, i was browsing online sometime, when i saw a post where a lady was testifying on how an African wizard ( Dr Amend ) helped her cast a lottery spell in winning a lottery and immediately i contacted him for same purpose and he did exactly what i wanted and i also won. To those who’ve been playing lottery for a long time and haven’t won should contact Dr Amend. Contact below WhatsApp +2348073861816 Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/27/24 Full Review Read all reviews
