Desiree G I went out of my way to make a rotten tomato account just to write this review. This is the dumbest movie with the dumbest characters I have ever seen. How this has an 86% is insane. Clearly bots propping this up. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 04/11/24 Full Review Cara B This is the most ridiculous movie I have ever seen. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 04/10/24 Full Review Joseph D How did this get 86% Audience Score? Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/20/24 Full Review Rachael F First movie in a long time where I felt like I lost time. It had a solid cast but the writing was just terrible and the characters made such stupid choices it was painful. Saw the high score and my partner and I kept hoping the end would make up for it. Don't waste your time Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/11/24 Full Review Cari S Pretty much what you expect. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/06/24 Full Review Jeff M I've come to the conclusion that it must be one of the hardest jobs in Hollywood to write a script for a film of this type that retains its thrills and chills from act one to act two and yet doesn't leave its brain at the door and throw all logic out the window. I watch so many horror/suspense thrillers that start out so promisingly but eventually lose their way and have no idea how to prolong their nifty idea for 90-100 minutes. This is yet another example - the exposition here sets up a potentially intriguing premise, and there are so decent scares and tense moments. However, in this case, once Dermot Mulroney and the late Anne Heche enter the picture, it goes downhill rather quickly. And to say any more, I'd have to get into spoilers. Heche, in particular, is so over the top and exaggerated here, it pretty much ruins every bit of goodwill the film has earned up until then. As usual, the filmmakers have assembled an attractive cast of young actors who look photogenic even while they're screaming or being a menace to society. Miller, in particular, comes across well, and I would love to see her in a stronger vehicle. By the end, the roller coaster has basically fallen off its tracks, and it's every man for himself. Genre fans may appreciate this one a bit more than I did, but as far as I'm concerned, it's yet another example of potential gone with the wind. Paul Lê Bloody Disgusting Acknowledging but not fixating on the frustrating denouement, You’re Killing Me remains a compelling and, at times, grim lesson about how doing the morally responsible thing doesn’t always end well for the upright party. Rated: 3/5 Jul 21, 2023 Full Review Mary Beth McAndrews Dread Central Lean and mean 'You're Killing Me' treads in familiar territory, but boasts stellar performances. Rated: 3/5 Apr 21, 2023 Full Review Emily DuGranrut In Review Online To say that the film is predictable is putting it gently — every narrative beat is first telegraphed and then dutifully checked off the list. Apr 17, 2023 Full Review Stephanie Malone Morbidly Beautiful Making effective use of its primarily single-location setting and creating a claustrophobic, tension-fueled nightmare that never lets up, You’re Killing Me is an engaging teen horror/survival thriller that is worth adding to your watch list. Rated: 3/5 Apr 7, 2023 Full Review Roger Moore Movie Nation A tight formulaic thriller with snatches of suspense, struggling through panic problem-solving, a somewhat high body count and a final iconic and seriously badass image of the late Anne Heche. Rated: 2.5/4 Apr 7, 2023 Full Review Mark Dujsik Mark Reviews Movies This is a tight little thriller that may not have a lot or anything new to say, but the film does have a point and a purpose beyond the game of its plotting.
