Audience Member Adapted from a 17th century tale by one of the most important Ming writers, Feng Menlong, "The Story of Sue San" is the melodramatic story of two star-crossed lovers - a story of prostitution, attempted suicide, poisoning, bankruptcy and false accusations. It stars Betty Loh Ti and though Li Han Hsian is also often listed as co-director, it was essentially the work of King Hu, and ranks among his better movies, though not among his best.
