They spend the whole movie learning from the same master to gain an edge over the other, until one of them quits. When one of them is promoted to the bodyguard of the Emperor, the other conspires to make him look bad. The movie is pretty standard, until the second half when a villain forms. The Rat Gang are a gang of thieves who want to steal the Royal Jade Seal from the emperor, while he is undercover looking for talented fighters. There is a hilarious set piece in which both students must fight the Water Rat, a fighter who specializes in diving underwater while fighting, and a man who uses vines to gain height on his enemies.
