Audience Member This film was solid. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member Zatoichi gets a taste for the domestic life when he escapes a bunch of assassins but a woman with child gets killed instead. Zatoichi vows to return the child home, with the help of a prostitute/pick pocket. This is where the movie works, the slow moments of character development and reflection. The action finale is one of the more suspenseful, with the villains using dirty tricks to try and do in Zatoichi. The prostitute doesn't get much resolution, for a very sombre and bittersweet ending for this Zatoichi entry. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Audience Member This is certainly my favourite so far from the fine samurai series, as Zatoichi finds a baby whose mother has just been murdered, and does everything possible to return the child to a very horrible father. When he first goes to change the baby's diaper, gets a face full of pee and laughs, "Oh, I guess you're a boy!", and destroys, one-handed, legions of foes while trying to change the baby's diaper, that's classic cinema. The entire series is the best money I have ever spent, and by far. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member Zatoichi on diaper duty. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member And I thought 'Zatoichi and the chest of Gold' was the worst...Ironically the title doesn't imply to this movie, there's no fighting whatsoever, we just see dragging scenes of Zatoichi babysitting an orpahn. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Ichi sticks his nose into a crappy diaper; and earns the admiration of a wayward middle-aged woman. Caution: dirty laundry is shown on screen. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Read all reviews
