Gavia Baker-Whitelaw Inverse Derivative it may be, but there’s always an audience for “cool guy kicks a bunch of monsters in the head,” and director Kulp Kaljareuk knows how to keep that audience happy. Jul 10, 2025 Full Review Mary Kassel Screen Rant Zombie movies are everywhere, and while Netflix's new addition to the genre might have nothing new to say, it still delivers on the blood and guts. Rated: 5/10 Jul 10, 2025 Full Review Jim Vorel Paste Magazine This isn’t vintage Tony Jaa, but most of the fight scenes–particularly when Singh has a human opponent to square off against rather than just a zombie charging him–are satisfyingly and unsparingly brutal. Rated: 6.2/10 Jul 10, 2025 Full Review Jonathon Wilson Ready Steady Cut As played out as zombies might be these days, the elevator pitch of “one-man army takes on the undead with Muay Thai” is too funny to ignore. Michelle C Not the best. Not the worst. Kinda silly. Made me wish I was watching "The Sadness". Rated 2 out of 5 stars 07/14/25 Full Review Michael Jonathan A Mad Max Resident Evil and Demon City on one! Entertained? Absolutely! Buddy is a great actor! Singh is so COOL! Story: 4/5 Visuals: 5/5 Music: 4/5 Other: 5/5 I like how they portrayed the social corruption and how military people are often times people with a gunpowder in their head Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/14/25 Full Review Marco L (CASTELLANO) A veces uno se pregunta cómo ciertas películas llegan a estrenarse. (ENGLISH) Sometimes you really have to wonder how certain movies even get released. Ziam is one of those cases. As a fan of the zombie genre, I always go in with some excitement. But this time, not even good intentions could save it. What was meant to be a tense, somewhat original apocalyptic thriller ends up as a complete disaster. The script is beyond salvageable. It’s full of clichés, useless dialogue, characters that appear and vanish without explanation, and scenes that seem randomly stitched together. Whatever story might have existed is buried under sloppy, careless execution. And to make it worse, the actors don’t help at all — performances range from flat to overacted to just plain bad. Visually, there’s little to praise. The zombie design is... interesting, maybe, but that’s all: contortions and screams. The hospital setting, which should create claustrophobia and tension, feels slow and repetitive. Some moments are so ridiculous they verge on parody — but without any irony or wit. I give it a 2 just because it’s a zombie film, and that alone still sparks some interest in me. But even for this genre, which often embraces excess and absurdity, Ziam falls embarrassingly short. In short, Ziam might be one of the worst zombie films I’ve ever seen. Terrible script, bad acting, and a story with no direction or tension. Not even recommended for genre lovers. Only the theme itself is worth the slightest bit of credit. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 07/14/25 Full Review Cachorro F Horrible, nothing makes sense. A total mess. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 07/14/25 Full Review Ognjen V I like zombie movies and this one is alright. If you’re not looking for story but instead for action this is it. The main complaint is the ending, it frustrated me hard. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 07/11/25 Full Review Audience Member 1.5hrs of my life I won't be able to take back. That's how bad this muay-thai inspired zombie movie is. Very poor writing, poor dialogue, corny slo-mo fighting scenes and a plot that just doesn't make sense. Movie was directed poorly. I chose to watch this movie in Netflix thinking it would be decent but boy oh boy, was I mistaken. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 07/11/25 Full Review Read all reviews
