Audience Member Worst movie of ever!!! Worst effects, so fake blood and ridiculous argument on the hall movie! Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member One of the more obtuse rom-coms out there. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review dave j Thursday, October 31, 2013 (2004) Zombie Honeymoon COMEDY HORROR/ DRAMA Despite it being only 1 hour and 23 minutes, it still feels like it was too little too long. What they should've called this movie instead of calling it "Zombie Honeymoon" is "I Have A Zombie For A Husband, Till Death Do Us Part!" since she may have took her marriage vows too seriously. Written, co-produced and directed by David Gebroe which the premise is young couple had just gotten married, Denise(Tracy Coogan) and Danny (Graham Sibley) Zanders and while on their honeymoon, a zombie just blatantly walks out of the ocean while her hubby is sound asleep on the beach. He infects him by mixing some saliva into his while he was trying to put a bite on him. At first, he's pronounced dead but soon he's okay, and so they thought... As I've mentioned above, despite it being less than an hour and a half, it still felt very long since much of the scenes seem to be unnecessary and sometimes convoluted. For instance, viewers get it they're in love with each other that much we don't need to be a witness to this, and that he needs to munch on other people to stay alive even though he doesn't necessarily finish off what he's started. And he also can go to the cemetery to munch on a dead body or eat an animal if he's not a vegetarian anymore. I mean, what she does is not the same for most people would do in real life so it is in that instance I can't relate to her character at all since I still find it disgusting to smooch a person who's just finished eating someone. For viewers are oblivious how contagious her husband really is making viewers wonder how come she's not infected. And in the eyes of the court because her zombie husband doesn't get any help, it kind of makes her an accessory to all of those people that he killed even though their was no real intent. And I agree with other users that the low production values doesn't help this movie either. 2 out of 4 stars Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Bordered on lightweight but I liked it just the same. Ronnie Scheib Variety Scores simultaneously as romantic, tragic, grotesque and screamingly funny. Feb 3, 2006 Full Review V.A. Musetto New York Post Whether you're looking for a love story with a little gore or a horror movie with a little romance, Zombie Honeymoon will suit your taste. Rated: 3/4 Oct 8, 2005 Full Review Laura Kern New York Times Not quite the campfest its absurd but undeniably catchy title suggests, Zombie Honeymoon is actually an emotionally driven blend of romance, comedy and horror. Rated: 3/5 Oct 4, 2005 Full Review Felix Vasquez Jr. Cinema Crazed Very good performances, heart wrenching story, and genuine characterization... Rated: 3/4 Apr 29, 2009 Full Review Marc Mohan Oregonian It comes to life a bit during a protracted, gotta-get-to-80-minutes finale, but by then it's called to mind too many other, better films. Rated: C+ Feb 3, 2006 Full Review Johnny Butane Dread Central Not that Zombie Honeymoon is a bad movie, just one you probably won't think too much about after the credits roll.
