ZombieCON Vol. 1 delivers on its intent of blending undead survival horror with an anime-style team quest. There’s plenty here to enjoy for convention and cosplay enthusiasts. Where this film falls short, though, is its setup and execution of the horror.

If the recent “28 Years Later” showed that it was possible to make a serious zombie movie, ZOMBIECON VOL. 1 goes in the complete opposite direction. Nonetheless, this raggedy indie film has enough goofiness going for it that it should find an audience.
