This movie is horrible. I hate it. “Oh but it’s a kids movie!” Kids movies can be good, look at Trolls! (I’m kidding, but seriously, you can look at Up as an example). Zed and Addison fall in love at the snap of a finger, Addison’s “dirty secret” is just her having white hair (I know it’s stupid), and they repeat songs. (Spoilers ahead) At one point, Addison completely breaks character and tells one of the zombies, Eliza, to sabotage a big school cheer competition cuz zombies will be seen as monsters anyways. What???? ( no more spoilers ahead) It’s truly a shame, cuz you can tell the cast really put their all into it. Milo Manheim put all his effort into being Zed.

When I sat down to watch this movie with my reluctant 13 year old son I was expecting to stop the movie halfway through and switch to a thriller. This, however, is not what happened! Mason adores this movie and could not get enough. The beautiful love story had me and Mason in tears. The way Addison and Zed came together was incredible and touching. This movie shows that love has no limits.
