Audience Member Zombiez has a lot of unintentionally funny moments but otherwise its a very bad attempt at making a zombie film. The special effects are cheap (whenever humans are being eaten by the zombies, it's clearly pieces of raw chicken painted with fake blood) and it's poorly shot (there's at least one scene where you can see the smoke machine in operation). The plot is silly and sometimes nonsensical (there's a particularly puzzling scene where a man in a chicken suit is being used for target practice that never comes up again) and the acting is very bad. Even the zombies, who should be competent because they have no lines aren't convincing because you can clearly tell that the actors portraying the undead are handling bits of raw meat instead of guts so they don't want to actually bite into anything. If you want to watch a bad horror film with your friends and make fun of it, it doesn't get any worse than this as far as zombie movies go but otherwise it's just awful. It wasn't just a b-movie with bad makeup and actors. With most b-movies, the bad makeup and acting can be forgiven because, after all, the film makers were on a budget. This movie had a no direction, a poor plot, if there was one to start with, and awfully funny, if not stupid special effects. I'll never get back the time I wasted watching someone run and run and run. What was going on?
