James Plath Movie Metropolis It's goofy and it smacks of B-movie dynamics, but Duccio Tessari's "Zorro" is still an entertaining film. Rated: 6/10 Jan 4, 2013 Full Review Read all reviews

Guillermo P The 1975 movie Zorro, starring Alain Delon, is the quintessential movie representation of the Zorro character. It is also quite accurate to the original novel, The Curse of Capistrano. This Zorro movie is much better than modern iterations that embellish the character and stray away from the original source material too much. Delon perfectly captures the essence of Zorro. He is both charming and roguish, yet he is also a fierce fighter for justice. The movie does a great job of portraying the social and political climate of California in the early 19th century, and it shows how Zorro becomes a symbol of hope for the oppressed people. One of the things that sets this Zorro movie apart from other iterations is that it is more grounded, the movie is goofy and comical in places but not over the top like modern action films. There are no over-the-top action sequences or cheesy special effects. Instead, the movie focuses on the characters and the story. Another thing that I appreciate about this movie is that it stays true to the original source material. The movie does not change Zorro's backstory or personality to make him more marketable to a modern audience. Instead, it embraces the character for who he is: a complex and flawed individual who fights for what he believes in. If you are a fan of Zorro, then I highly recommend the 1975 movie Zorro. It is a classic that stands the test of time. One of my favourite movies of all time. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/15/23 Full Review Fishing U The best Zorro Movie ever made hands down. It's incredibly well done even though the movie is almost 50 years old. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/11/23 Full Review Audience Member زورو با بازی آلن دلون فیلم نسبتا خوبی بود مخصوصا با بازی آلن دلون فیلم در کل ساختار داستانی خوبی داشت و برای شخصیت زورو قابل قبول بود Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/29/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie holds up remarkably well. The pacing is a little slow at times but today's standards, but the production values are good, the music is used well throughout to enhance the story and the action sequences have a wonderful sense of high energy and fun befitting the title character. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Probably the best Zorro I've seen but the start is kind of boring. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member Despite an ear bleeding theme song and choppy editing, this 70s spaghetti 'Zorro' is still an enjoyable swashbuckler. It has above average production values, a suitably charismatic lead in Delon but especially, an effective and fun villain in Stanley Baker's dastardly Colonel.
