I was able to predict the ending but in most thrillers, it usually isn't too difficult anyway. Nice addition to the genre and its good to see one from China. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member A modern who-done-it that's quite good. Didn't expect that (spoiler) did it! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member Most beautifully shot picture I have seen. Cinematographer Chan Chi Ying shoots in cold blue colors that sets the films tone. This is Hong Li's first attempt-it's a thriller but a complex thriller. The story deals with a leading dancer murdered in her dressing room, the role goes to a runnerup--jealousy, hositility and conflicts grows. One of my favourite pictures I would recommend this subtle story to anyone interested. Chan Chi Ying is a great cinematographer. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member The film certainly as an artistic vibe to the proceedings, with some rather striking visuals and moody ambiance, but it often tries too hard to be profound and thus comes of as pretentious and self-important. What doesn't help matters is the fact that the narrative is rather bland and conventional in itself, thus making the director's attempts to be set apart from other thrillers to be null and void. Pretty but unmemorable. Skip it unless you are a die-hard thriller junkie like myself... Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member Intersting thriller - I didn't figure everything out until the end Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Audience Member Interesting thriller. I did not see the reveal of the actual killer coming until the very end. Very interesting film that is more than an art film, but art film fans will appreciate it, I think.
