Judy Berman TIME Magazine Come for the mystery, stay for Meyers’ lovely portrayal of Pip’s growing pains. Aug 30, 2024 Full Review Nadira Goffe Slate Despite the few underwritten or all-too-convenient parts, the show is a surprisingly well-balanced cocktail of the common woes of adolescence with the considerably less common hurdles of solving a crime. Aug 28, 2024 Full Review Valerie Anne Autostraddle If you’re looking for a little bite-sized mystery, helmed by a determined, clever girl on a quest for the truth, I definitely recommend A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder. Aug 8, 2024 Full Review Lindsay Press Culturess Ultimately, A Good Girl's Guide to Murder is a fun and quick binge-worthy show that will make a potentially boring day a lot more entertaining. Mar 18, 2025 Full Review Connor Lightbody Movies We Texted About a whodunnit where Nancy Drew meets Paper Towns, by way of CBBC. It is syrupy, and sanitsed to the point of being interminably slight Dec 3, 2024 Full Review Kathryn Reklis The Christian Century A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder is a perfect embodiment of this generic ideal, because Pip isn’t just solving a murder case, she is figuring out her own place in the world. Angie A It was okay, but because of the dumb main character, you will be annoyed all throughout the series. SPOILER ALERT!! (Posting my comment from Reddit here) When she broke into Andie's room, she intentionally put her phone on the table. Like, come on?! They just agreed Ravi would text her! When she went out in her PJs, sure, she was brave, but if the killer had a gun? Dead, just like that. When their dog went missing, she still suggested to split up. She knows that the killer is targeting them, but still risks her family. When she was talking with Becca, she still drank from the cup after Becca suggested it. Like dude?! You know how dangerous it is talking to a killer, you know the danger of drugs, you know you're alone, but noooo, still drank, followed her in her car and into a suspicious place. There are other scenes, but yes, she was an annoying main character. (A reply to my comment there: she also left her friends in the place where she almost got raped.) Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/28/25 Full Review Jeff H Please, Netflix, no more AI scripts! The last episode was like listening to a non-stop stream of lines recycled from everything that has been said on screen! Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/23/25 Full Review Naika c I love this series so muchhhh, casts are perfect!! Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/27/25 Full Review Ben N Enjoyable fun, but not a show you can do much more than just stare at. The twists are obviously going to come, but there's little to no way to try to figure them out, so instead you just guess or coast along. Cute main character and decent side characters. Love Emma Myers and Asha Banks - Overall the main plot was kind of annoying. Fortunately there are many interesting character, a copious beautiful shots of the countryside to keep your interest. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 12/21/24 Full Review Jemimah G acting was plain BAD and the show didnt do justice to the actual book. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 12/05/24 Full Review Read all reviews
