J. Kelly Nestruck Globe and Mail [A] lovely looking and mildly anachronistic mystery -- with Anjelica Huston in a dowager role previously reserved for Maggie Smith. Apr 18, 2025 Full Review John Anderson Wall Street Journal A three-parter that makes the most of its milieu: The walnut is burnished, the furs are thick, the lipstick is blood red and the opulence is as obvious as the moral offenses. Apr 18, 2025 Full Review Randy Myers San Jose Mercury News Series creator Rachel Bennette keeps it pithy, but it really comes to life whenever Rhys appears on the scene; his character is far more interesting than any other. Rated: 3/5 Apr 17, 2025 Full Review Joel Keller Decider While the performances in Agatha Christie’s Towards Zero are worth watching, we get the feeling most viewers who aren’t hardcore Christie fans will be to bored to hang in for the entire 3-hour run. Apr 17, 2025 Full Review Grant Hermanns Screen Rant The limited series adaptation of Agatha Christie's Towards Zero is an absolutely overstuffed mess that bears little resemblance to its novel. Rated: 4/10 Apr 17, 2025 Full Review Brittany Frederick CBR Towards Zero has a game cast and all the necessities of a proper Agatha Christie adaptation. It simply has a handful of flaws that keep it from becoming, as Nevile calls Kay, "the winner." Rated: 7/10 Apr 17, 2025 Full Review Read all reviews

Jane M I’m only a few minutes into the second episode and I want them all to be murdered, just to make it end. I’m not sure I’ve seen a more boring show. The Actors are horrible, especially Kay. She was so bad I looked to see if she had any experience at all. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 04/18/25 Full Review Jonathan M Slow, plodding, nebulous, unlikeable characters. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 04/17/25 Full Review Adam M This adaptation throws lots of red herrings at you, but leaves many of them unresolved. Not sure about the source material, but this ending is unearned and unconvincing. Nice turn by Angelica Huston and some other cast, but as a mystery this is pretty bad. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 04/17/25 Full Review joanna d I don't think Agatha Christie had full-on oral sex in mind when she wrote Towards Zero. Or the F-word chucked in here and there. Or the endless plot rewrites, characters changed, and actors shoehorned in to serve the you-know-what quota. But hey, it's the 21st century, where it seems we're allowed to butcher someone else's work. The only thing that saves this show: the excellence of Matthew Rhys and Jack Farthing. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 04/17/25 Full Review John T One of the slowest and dullest Christie adaptations yet seen. The UK TV critics seem to get very indulgent when they appraise anything by Christie-- on this one The Guardian more or less stated ordinary rules do not apply! But ( but at least from reviews posted so far) the actual audience will be less forgiving of this utterly flat and pedestrian adaptation, brimming with cliched characters and long sequences n which not very much happens. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 03/26/25 Full Review peter m A terrible production of a great story. An unbelievable number of poor performances from a cast that really should do better and a joyless script contribute to a tedious slog of a watch.
