Joel Keller Decider A lot of Bookie is “meh”, with characters in pretty unmemorable stories. But Maniscalco’s confident-but-put-upon Danny is reason enough to watch the show while folding laundry or checking e-mails. Dec 24, 2024 Full Review Tara Ariano Cracked There’s at least one solid laugh in each episode, but when each episode also contains at least five cheap shots, it’s kind of impossible to endorse it. There’s a reason we left the antihero era behind; I guess Lorre and Maniscalco haven’t heard. Rated: C Dec 19, 2024 Full Review M.N. Miller Geek Vibes Nation Bookie is a "workplace" comedy that excels when tailoring the story to Maniscalco's natural, frenetic comedic charm and delivery. Sal D Definitely a worthy watch with sophomore season typical issues. Very sorry to read that there won’t be a season 3. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 05/25/25 Full Review mark s Excellent, funny TV series, which I have already re-watched 3 times. Why Max original cancelled season 3, I don't quite understand. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/19/25 Full Review Audience Member Série simplesmente incrível mas n teve a divulgação que merece, Max deveria continuar e fazer uma divulgação maior pois é uma série muito boa, uma das melhores sem dúvida Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/05/25 Full Review fred h Slick, fresh, bumbling, oh my. At times it would appear a 9 to 5 would be more lucrative and a hell of a lot less frustrating. BUT who wants that? Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/18/25 Full Review Ignacio S Absurd Humor Without Personality The second season of this absurd comedy about illegal betting goes from bad to worse. Comedy is the most complicated genre of all since there are many types of humor. If it only focuses on one, and it happens to be the kind you personally dislike, it’s very difficult to enjoy it for any other reason. I like the premise of the show—problems within the world of illegal betting. But the execution, where everything happens simply because every character is stupid, only gives me constant cringe. These kinds of dumb jokes and baseless dialogues don’t make me laugh; they just bore me. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 03/10/25 Full Review Bill C I love Sebastian and the rest of cast. The show is alot of fun. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/08/25 Full Review Read all reviews
