raul R This series has everything going, 1800's spy crafts, sex escapades, murder and Best of all delicious French Cuisine! From the first Celebrity Chef, just AWESOME 👌. The acting is superb, the entire cast is on fire and delivers a Sumptuous Aperitif, can't wait for the Main Entrée that season 2 will be! Careme really has everything you want in a great show - romance, intrigue, great acting, breathtaking cinematography, fantastic music, etc. PLUS mouthwatering food. I can't speak to the historical accuracy of the show, but it's consistently entertaining from start to finish. Like all of Apple's foreign language series, I watched it with subtitles, as dubbed shows leave me very cold. Even though I understand very little French, I can't imagine watching this with any other voices than those of the original actors. I rate Careme 8.8, putting it in my top 10 list of Apple's foreign language series. A great watch! The show drew me in as the characters and the story developed, and from being sceptical of the show when I watched episode 1, I became incredibly impressed. Lavish production, beautifully shot in beautiful settings, and a superb cast. Hoping for Season 2! (By the way, I chose the French-speaking and english subtitles option.)
