The acting is superb, the entire cast is on fire and delivers a Sumptuous Aperitif, can't wait for the Main Entrée that season 2 will be! Original dialogues have the characters speak in modern teen fashion, and often lacks the flow and sound of the era and takes out from the immersion in the early 19th century. Careme really has everything you want in a great show - romance, intrigue, great acting, breathtaking cinematography, fantastic music, etc. PLUS mouthwatering food. I can't speak to the historical accuracy of the show, but it's consistently entertaining from start to finish. Like all of Apple's foreign language series, I watched it with subtitles, as dubbed shows leave me very cold. Even though I understand very little French, I can't imagine watching this with any other voices than those of the original actors. I rate Careme 8.8, putting it in my top 10 list of Apple's foreign language series. A great watch! See more David R @RT69466727 Jun 18 Carême surprised me as I watched more and more episodes. The show drew me in as the characters and the story developed, and from being sceptical of the show when I watched episode 1, I became incredibly impressed.
