The title "Celebrity Food Fight" is a bit misleading because food isn't thrown around on the show, although the possibility exists if things get heated enough. In each half-hour episode, actor and comedy writer Andy Richter hosts a dinner party during which celebrities and chefs participate in trivia games and food-themed challenges. Each course of the meal presents a new challenge, which includes finding fake cookbook titles and identifying edible items by touching them. Each team consists of two players who vie to win the game and earn the golden dinner plate that comes with the victory. For the losing team, the "consolation prize" is having to wash the dishes.
